Purpose

•  Detects the fuel pressure in the fuel distributor as basic information for mainly determining the fuel injection amount.

Function

•  Detects the fuel pressure in the fuel distributor and sends it to the PCM as a fuel pressure signal.

Construction

•  The high fuel pressure sensor is located on the fuel distributor.

•  A distortion gauge has been adopted for the detection area of the high fuel pressure sensor.
•  The distortion gauge outputs the voltage value based on the changes in the distortion amount from the pressure applied to it.

Operation

1.  The high fuel pressure sensor detects (1) the fuel pressure.

2.  The high fuel pressure sensor sends (2) the detected fuel pressure to the PCM as a fuel pressure signal.
