Outline

• Calculates the engine oil replacement period as an appropriate target period for replacing the engine oil.

Operation

• The PCM performs the following calculations, and when any of the following exceed their specifications, it determines that the engine oil replacement period has been reached.

― Traveled distance

― Elapsed days

― Engine oil deterioration condition

• When the PCM determines that the engine oil replacement period has been reached, the wrench indicator light illumination request signal is sent to the instrument cluster. (See WRENCH INDICATOR LIGHT/WRENCH INDICATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

In flexible setting (European (L.H.D.) specs. only)

• While in flexible setting, the PCM determines that the engine oil replacement period has been reached when the traveled distance, elapsed days, or engine oil deterioration has been determined.

• “Set/Reset” in flexible setting can be selected using the center display.

In fixed setting

• The connectivity master unit (CMU) determines that the preset maintenance period approaches.
