HUMIDITY SENSOR

Purpose
• The humidity sensor detects the relative humidity, the humidity sensor temperature, and the windshield temperature, and outputs a signal to the front body control module (FBCM).
Functions
• The humidity sensor detects the relative humidity, humidity sensor temperature, and the windshield temperature.
On-board diagnostic function

• Outputs an error signal to the front body control module (FBCM) if there is a malfunction in the humidity sensor.
• The front body control module (FBCM) outputs DTCs based on error signals from the humidity sensor.
Structure/Construction
• The humidity sensor is located on the bracket in the upper center part of the windshield.
• The humidity sensor is integrated with the rain sensor/auto-light sensor.
• A relative humidity sensor, a temperature sensor, and a windshield temperature sensor are built into the humidity sensor.
Operation
1. The humidity sensor detects (1) the relative humidity, the humidity sensor temperature, and windshield temperature.
2. The microcomputer detects (2) each signal from the humidity sensor and outputs (3) the humidity sensor signal to the front body control module (FBCM).
