POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE

Purpose
• The power liftgate (PLG) control module controls the power liftgate (PLG) system based on the following information.

― Power liftgate (PLG) front switch operation signal
― Power liftgate (PLG) rear switch operation signal
― Liftgate opener switch operation signal
― Remote transmitter operation signal
― Signal from power liftgate (PLG) drive unit
― Signal from power liftgate (PLG) touch sensor
― Signal from foot-motion detection unit
Functions
• When the power liftgate (PLG) control module receives an operation signal from each switch, it sends a liftgate open/close signal to the power liftgate (PLG) drive unit.
• The power liftgate (PLG) control module detects the liftgate operation condition based on the pulse from the power liftgate (PLG) drive unit.
Structure/Construction
• The power liftgate (PLG) control module is located in the trunk side trim.
Operation
• The power liftgate (PLG) control module detects the motor rotation speed and rotation direction based on the pulse from the power liftgate (PLG) drive unit.
