POWER SEAT SYSTEM
id091300262000
Outline
• The power seat system drives the electric motor, operates the front seat safely, and changes the driving posture to suit the occupant by operating the power seat switch.
• 10WAY power seats have been adopted on the driver's seat.(with tilt mechanism of front seats)
• 8WAY power seats have been adopted on the driver's seat.
• 6WAY power seats have been adopted on the passenger’s seat.
• With the adoption of the walk-in switch to the second-row seat, passengers can easily access the third-row seat.
Function
Front seat
-
• The 10WAY power seats are equipped with the following functions:
-
― Slide mechanism
― Recliner mechanism
― Lift mechanism
― Tilt mechanism
― Lumbar support mechanism
-
• The 8WAY power seats are equipped with the following functions:
-
― Slide mechanism
― Recliner mechanism
― Lift mechanism
― Lumbar support mechanism
-
• The 6WAY power seats are equipped with the following functions:
-
― Slide mechanism
― Recliner mechanism
― Lift mechanism
Second-row seat
-
• The second-row seat is equipped with the following function:
-
― One-touch walk-in mechanism
Slide mechanism
-
• The sliding function adjusts the front and back positions of the front seat.
Recliner mechanism
-
• The recliner function adjusts the angle of the front seat back.
Tilt mechanism
-
• The tilt function adjusts the height of the front part of the front seat cushions.
Lift mechanism
-
• The lift function adjusts the height of the front seat.
Lumbar support mechanism
-
• The lumbar support function adjusts the bulge amount of the abdominal area of the front seat back.
One-touch walk-in mechanism
-
• The one-touch walk-in function unlocks the second-row seat lock mechanism by operating the walk-in switch.By unlocking the lock mechanism, the second-row seat position can be adjusted forward and backward and the second-row seat back angle can be adjusted.

Operation
Recliner operation (example: forward recline operation)
-
With position memory system
-
1. When the recliner switch of the power seat switch is operated forward, the recliner switch ON signal is input the position memory control module.
2. When the position memory control module receives the recliner switch ON signal, power is supplied to the recliner motor and position sensor.
3. When current flows to the recliner motor for forward motion, the motor drives to tilt the front seat back forward.
-
Without position memory system
-
1. When the recliner switch is operated (1) forward, current from the battery flows (2) to the recliner motor.
2. When current flows to the recliner motor for forward motion, the motor drives to tilt the front seat back forward.
Lift operation (example: lift up operation)
-
With position memory system
-
1. When the lift switch of the power seat switch is operated up, the lift switch ON signal is input the position memory control module.
2. When the position memory control module receives the lift switch ON signal, power is supplied to the lift motor and position sensor.
3. When current flows to the lift motor for lift-up motion, the motor drives to set the position of the front seat higher.
-
Without position memory system
-
1. When the lift switch is operated (1) upward, current from the battery flows (2) to the lift motor.
2. When current flows to the lift motor for upward motion, the motor drives to raise the front seat upward.
Slide operation (example: forward slide operation)
-
With position memory system
-
1. When the slide switch of the power seat switch is operated forward, the slide switch ON signal is input the position memory control module.
2. When the position memory control module receives the slide switch ON signal, power is supplied to the slide motor and position sensor.
3. When current flows to the slide motor and position sensor for forward motion, the motor drives to slide the front seat forward.
-
Without position memory system
-
1. When the sliding switch is operated (1) forward, current from the battery flows (2) to the sliding motor.
2. When current flows to the recliner motor for forward motion, the motor drives to tilt the front seat back forward.
Tilt operation (example: tilt up operation)
-
With position memory system
-
1. When the tilt switch of the power seat switch is operated up, the tilt switch on signal is input to the position memory control module.
2. When the position memory control module receives the tilt switch on signal, power is supplied to the tilt motor and position sensor.
3. When current flows to the tilt motor and position sensor for tilt-up motion, the motor drives to set the position of the front part of the front seat cushion higher.
-
Without position memory system
-
1. When the tilt switch is operated (1) in the tilt-up direction, current from the battery flows (2) to the tilt motor.
2. When current flows to the tilt motor for tilt-up motion, the motor drives to set the position of the front part of the front seat cushion higher.
Lumbar support operation (example: forward operation)
1. When the lumbar support switch is operated (1) forward, current from the battery flows (2) to the lumbar support motor.
2. When current flows to the lumbar support motor for forward motion, the motor drives to set the bulge amount of the abdominal area of the front seat back.
One-touch walk-in operation
1. When the walk-in switch is operated, the walk-in switch ON signal is input to the rear one-touch walk-in control module.
2. When the rear one-touch walk-in control module receives the walk-in switch ON signal, it sends the actuator operation signal to the walk-in actuator.
3. When the walk-in actuator receives the actuator operation signal, it drives the actuator to unlock the second-row seat lock mechanism.
