UNDER COVER AERODYNAMIC PERFORMANCE
id091600010500
Purpose
• Under covers and deflectors have been adopted to straighten the wind flow to the underside of the vehicle.
Function/Structure/Construction
• A deflector is equipped in front of the front tire to straighten the wind flow passing around the tire and alongside the vehicle.
• By equipping the under covers to the uneven areas on the underside of the vehicle, the underside of the vehicle becomes flat and the wind flow is straightened.
Front under cover No.1/front under cover No.2/plate
-
• Prevents wind flow into the engine compartment, allowing it flow to the vehicle rear.
Front deflector
-
• Prevents wind flow into the tire housings and straighten wind flow away from the body side, allowing it to flow to the vehicle rear.
• Front deflector prevents the wind flow from hitting the rotating tires and reduces aerodynamic drag.
Floor under cover No.1/floor under cover No.2/brace bar/tunnel member
-
• Straightens wind flow under the floor.
Trunk floor cover
-
• Prevents wind flow from swirling around the underside of the rear bumper, allowing it to flow to the vehicle rear.
Fail-safe
• Not applicable
