Removal Procedure

Caution

•  Remove the curtain air bag module to prevent damage before servicing.

Caution

•  Avoid cutting with a blowtorch or similar tools as the insulator is flammable shown in the figure.

1.  Rough cut the 3 locations indicated by (A) shown in the figure.

2.  Drill the 81 locations indicated by (B) shown in the figure, then remove the side frame (outer) (center pillar (outer)).

3.  Drill the 35 locations indicated by (C) shown in the figure, then remove the center pillar reinforcement.

4.  Drill the 14 locations indicated by (D) from the room side shown in the figure.

5.  Pull the center pillar (inner) in the direction of arrow shown in the figure, then remove it from between the side sill (inner) and side sill reinforcement.
