Caution

• For the front fender stay, if paint gets on the shaded area shown in the figure, it could cause a poor ground and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) may not function normally causing a malfunction such as the engine stalls or cannot be restarted.
In addition, always use a ground bolt for the bolt used in assembling the shaded area.
Paint Procedure For Front Fender Stay
Paint procedure for replaced front fender stay (LH/RH)
1. Paint the front fender stay with the masking tape left applied.
2. After the paint is completely dried, peel off the masking tape.
3. Tighten the ground bolt and the bolts shown in the figure to the specified torque, and install the front fender stay.

• Apply touch-up paint to the exposed base material area on the seating surface after tightening the ground bolt to prevent rust.
Paint procedure for front fender stay repair (reused) (LH/RH)
1. Apply the masking tape to area A shown in the figure and paint the front fender stay.
2. After the paint is completely dried, peel off the masking tape.
3. Tighten the ground bolt and the bolts shown in the figure to the specified torque, and install the front fender stay.
