•  Evaporative gas generated between the purge solenoid valve and the charcoal canister liquefies for reasons such as low temperature on the way to the intake manifold. The liquefied evaporative gas (gasoline) is accumulated in the catch tank.

•  The liquefied evaporative gas is not supplied to the intake manifold because it is accumulated in the catch tank. Thus, a rich air/fuel ratio is prevented.
