Caution
•  While driving the vehicle for perform troubleshooting procedure, always operate the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner.
•  When the M-MDS is used to observe monitor system status while driving, be sure to have another technician with you, or record the data in the M-MDS using the PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD capturing function and inspect later.
•  When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, inspect the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illumination, AT warning indicator light illumination, and diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to following flowchart.
―  If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE [AY6A-EL, AY6AX-EL].)
―  If a DTC does not exist, the MIL does not illuminate and the AT warning indicator light illuminate, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING ITEM TABLE [AY6A-EL, AY6AX-EL].)
Note
•  If a tire of a different diameter from the standard tire is installed, the TCM determines that the driving mode is the AAS mode, and may change to a different shift timing from the normal timing.
