FRONT PILLAR REMOVAL [PANEL REPLACEMENT]

1.  Rough cut area (A), drill the 90 locations indicated by (B), then remove the front pillar (outer).

2.  Drill the 2 locations indicated by (C) from the interior.

Caution

•  Avoid cutting with a blow torch or similar tools as the insulator (shaded area) is flammable.

3.  Chisel is Inserted from the connector hole, it moves in the direction of the arrow, and the insulator is separated as shown in the figure.

Note

•  Chisel is inserted because the laser welding is given as for the arrow part of the figure below and the welding is separated.

4.  Rough cut area (D).

Caution

•  Avoid cutting with a blow torch or similar tools as the insulator (shaded area) is flammable.

5.  Drill the 3 locations indicated by (E) from the interior.

6.  Remove the front pillar reinforcement.

7.  Rough cut area (F), drill the 21 locations indicated by (G), and then remove the front pillar (inner).

8.  Drill the 1 locations indicated by (H) from the interior.

9.  Remove the spot weld sealer using a disc grinder.
