POWER STEERING OIL PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R.H.D.]

1.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove the cowl grill. (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the windshield wiper motor (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the cowl panel. (See COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the right side splashing shield.

6.  Remove the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI-3.7].)

7.  Disconnect the drive shaft and joint shaft. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8.  Remove the master cylinder. (See MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R.H.D.].)

9.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

10.  Install in the reserve order of removal.

Hose Bracket Removal Note

1.  Remove the bolt shown in the figure, and move the suction pipe bracket in the direction of arrow (1) to disconnect it from the engine hanger.

2.  Move the hose bracket in the direction of arrow (2) to disconnect it from the engine hanger.

Note
•  If it is hard to remove the rubber from the engine hanger, detach it using a flathead screwdriver. Be careful not to peel off the double-sided adhesive tape.

Power Steering Oil Pump Removal Note

1.  Position the drive shaft out of the way and remove the power steering pump.


Power Steering Fluid Tank Removal Note

1.  Remove the coolant reserve tank with the hose still connected, and position the coolant reserve tank out of the way.
