Driver-side front air mix actuator (potentiometer) (present) (L.H.D.)

Passenger-side front air mix actuator (potentiometer) (present) (R.H.D.)

POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Driver-side (passenger-side) front air mix actuator malfunction
•  Open circuit between driver-side (passenger-side) front air mix actuator and front climate control unit
•  Short circuit between driver-side (passenger-side) front air mix actuator and front climate control unit

Diagnostic procedure

INSPECTION

ACTION

1
•  Inspect driver-side (passenger-side) front air mix actuator. (See FRONT AIR MIX ACTUATOR INSPECTION.)
•  Is it okay?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace driver-side (passenger-side) front air mix actuator.

•  Disconnect passenger side (driver side) front air mix actuator connector.
•  Disconnect front airflow mode actuator connector.
•  Disconnect rear air mix actuator connector.
•  Disconnect rear airflow mode actuator connector.
•  Disconnect ambient temperature sensor connector.
•  Disconnect cabin temperature sensor connector.
•  Disconnect front and rear evaporator temperature sensor connector.
•  Is resistance between following terminals of front climate control unit connector (16-pin) more than 840 ohms?
―  2P and 2F (driver-side) (L.H.D.)
―  2P and 2G (passenger-side) (R.H.D.)
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair wiring harness. (Short circuit)

•  Disconnect front climate control unit connector (16-pin).
•  Is resistance between terminals 2P and 2B of front climate control unit connector (16-pin) less than 7.8 kilohms?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair wiring harness. (Open circuit)

•  Is resistance between following terminals of front climate control unit connector (24-pin) less than 6.24 kilohms?
―  2B and 2F (driver-side) (L.H.D.)
―  2B and 2G (passenger-side) (R.H.D.)
Yes
Inspect the connection of the front climate control unit connector.
No
Repair wiring harness. (Open circuit)
