1.  If the vehicle is involved in a side-impact collision, the impact is detected by both side air bag sensors No.1 and No.2.

2.  The crash sensors built into side air bag sensors No.1 and No.2 detect the impact and convert the degree of impact into an electrical signal at the signal processing circuit.

3.  The degree-of-impact signal, which is converted to an electrical signal, is sent to the SAS control module.
