Gap Adjustment

1.  Measure the gap between the bonnet and body.

Standard clearance
a: -2.5—2.5 mm {-0.098—0.098 in}
b: -1.21—1.79 mm {-0.0476—0.0704 in}
c: -1.2—1.2 mm {-0.04—0.04 in}
d: -1.5—1.5 mm {-0.059—0.059 in}

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Windshield wiper arm and blade (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
(2)  Cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

4.  Loosen the bonnet hinge installation bolts and adjust the bonnet.

5.  Tighten the bolts.


Height Adjustment

1.  Measure the height difference between the bonnet and body.

Clearance
a: 3.2—7.2 mm {0.13—0.28 in}
b: 2.0—5.0 mm {0.07—0.19 in}
c: 2.8—5.2 mm {0.11—0.20 in}

2.  Turn the stop rubber to adjust.
