POWER OUTER MIRROR SWITCH INSPECTION

Mirror Glass Adjustment Switch, Left/right Selection Switch

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the power window main switch. (See POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Note

•  The mirror glass adjustment switch, left/right selection switch is integrated with the power window main switch.

3.  Verify that the resistance between the mirror glass adjustment switch, left/right selection switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the power window main switch. (See POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

With position memory system

Retractable Outer Mirror Switch

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Dashboard under cover (Driver side) (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Bonnet release lever (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Retractable outer mirror switch (See POWER OUTER MIRROR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the retractable outer mirror switch. (See POWER OUTER MIRROR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Apply battery voltage to retractable outer mirror switch terminal B, and connect terminal A to ground.

5.  Verify that the LED illuminates.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the retractable outer mirror switch. (See POWER OUTER MIRROR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
