Bluetooth UNIT OPERATION

•  The Bluetooth unit communicates information to the Bluetooth-enabled devise via radio waves, and with the vehicle’s audio via the CAN system.
•  The Bluetooth unit recognizes the voice spoken into the vehicle’s microphone to operate the Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone.
•  The Bluetooth unit utilizes a self-diagnostic function.
•  When the ignition is switched to ACC or ON, the Bluetooth unit initiates communication with the Bluetooth-enabled device. (Any Bluetooth-enabled device must be programmed to the Bluetooth unit. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for the programming procedure.)
•  If the vehicle’s audio or steering switch is operated, the Bluetooth unit sends the information of the Bluetooth-enabled device to the vehicle’s audio unit.

Voice Recognition Function

•  If the voice/audio recognition switch is operated, the voice recognition function operates. When the voice spoken into the vehicle’s microphone matches the voice command pre-set for the Bluetooth unit, the Bluetooth unit performs the mode set to the voice command.
•  The voice commands and their functions are as follows (examples): Refer to the Owner’s Manual for the voice command list.

Mutes the audio.
Setup
Operates each set-up mode of the Bluetooth system.


Self-diagnostic Function

•  When the vehicle’s audio unit is operated, the Bluetooth unit initiates self-diagnosis. The Bluetooth unit sends the diagnostic results to the vehicle’s audio unit to display DTCs.
•  Refer to the ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM FUNCTION [Bluetooth SYSTEM (HANDS-FREE TELEPHONE (HF/TEL) SYSTEM)] for the DTCs.
