Jacking up Using Garage Jack

Warning
<<High voltage>>
•  A high voltage battery pack is installed under the vehicle floor. If the vehicle is raised or lowered while the high voltage battery pack is being supported by a garage jack or the like, the high voltage battery pack will be damaged. Damage can lead to serious injury or death from electric shock. Set the jack at the correct jack up point and jack up the vehicle.
Warning
•  Jacking up the vehicle incorrectly is dangerous. The vehicle may slip off the jack resulting in serious injury. After securing the tires using wheel blocks, set the jack to the appropriate jack up position either at the front or the rear, and jack up the vehicle.
•  Jacking up the vehicle on a sloping or soft floor may result in an unstable vehicle position, which may cause the vehicle to slip off the jack and cause serious injury. When jacking up the vehicle with a garage jack, ensure that the vehicle is on a flat, solid floor.
•  If you jack up the vehicle on an uneven surface, the garage jack may not move smoothly and the vehicle may slip off the jack and cause serious injury. When jacking up the vehicle with a garage jack, ensure that the vehicle is on a flat floor.
Caution
•  When jacking up the vehicle with a garage jack, check the following in advance, and if any item is not normal, do not jack up the vehicle with the garage jack.
―  Verify that the garage jack moves smoothly on the floor surface.
―  Verify that the jack-up point is not damaged.
•  Before jacking up the vehicle, unload the luggage inside the vehicle and empty the vehicle.
•  Chock the tires on the opposite side of the jack-up side so that the vehicle does not move unexpectedly when you jack it up.
•  After jacking up the vehicle, install a safety stand (rigid rack) to support the vehicle.
