1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

5.  Connect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

6.  After installation, depress the brake pedal a few times, rotate the wheel by hand, and verify that the brake does not drag.

Guide Plate Installation Note

Caution
•  Assembling the guide plates to the incorrect positions may cause abnormal noise. When assembling the guide plates to the front brake mounting support, correctly assemble them to the positions on the leading side and trailing side shown in the figure.

1.  Clean the areas where the mounting support and the double-sided adhesive tape on the guide plates come into contact.

2.  Apply double-sided adhesive tape to the positions shown in the figure.

3.  Peel off the backing of the double-sided adhesive tape.

4.  Install the guide plate as shown in the figure.

5.  Apply grease to the locations shown in the figure.

Front Brake Caliper Installation Note

1.  Clean the exposed area of the piston.

2.  Push the piston in using the commercially available disc brake expand tool.

3.  Install the disc pads to the front brake mounting support.

4.  Return the front brake caliper to the original position and install the bolt.
