ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH
id041200700900
Purpose
• The electric parking brake switch switches between the operation/release of the electric parking brake.
Function
• The electric parking brake switch displays the electric parking brake condition by turning on/flashing the built-in indicator light.
• The electric parking brake switch switches the contact point according to the operation/release operation.
Construction
• The electric parking brake switch is located on the upper panel.
• Input signals of the electric parking brake switch have been divided into 2 systems to enhance the electric parking brake switch malfunction detection accuracy for the electronically controlled brake unit.
Operation
Electric parking brake operation
-
• When the electric parking brake switch is pulled up, the contact point (operation side) in the electric parking brake switch is switched.
Electric parking brake release
-
• When the electric parking brake switch is pressed, the contact point (release side) in the electric parking brake switch is switched.
Indicator light
-
• The indicator light turns on/flashes according to the transistor operation in the electronically controlled brake unit.
• When the electric parking brake is operating or released, the indicator light operates as indicated in the table below.

Note
-
• When the following operations are performed using an electric parking brake switch, the electric parking brake warning light turns on and the electronically controlled brake unit stores DTCs. In addition, if the electronically controlled brake unit can determine an operation such as the electric parking brake switch being returned to the neutral position as normal, DTCs are stored as a past malfunction.
