Measures when refrigerant is insufficient

•  If it is determined from the troubleshooting that the refrigerant is insufficient, do not add refrigerant. Since the proper amount of refrigerant cannot be known by the indicated pressure of the manifold gauge, adding refrigerant may cause secondary problems such as breakage of refrigeration cycle parts due to excessive or insufficient refrigerant or deterioration of performance. Therefore, when it is determined that the refrigerant is insufficient, recover all of the refrigerant from the refrigeration cycle using the refrigerant recovery device, then add the specified amount of refrigerant.

Handling of compressor oil

•  Always use the following specified compressor oil for the vehicle. If compressor oil other than the specified type is used, the refrigerant performance may be lowered or the refrigerant cycle parts may be damaged.
―  ND-OIL11
•  Since there is a compressor motor in the refrigeration cycle, be sure to use compressor oil (ND-OIL11) with good electrical insulation to prevent leakage of high voltage in the compressor/motor drive.
•  Even if a small amount of compressor oil other than ND-OIL11 is used, electrical insulation may deteriorate significantly and electrical leakage may occur.
•  Do not allow compressor oil to adhere to the vehicle. Compressor oil adhering to the surface of the vehicle can damage the paintwork. Should compressor oil adhere to the vehicle, wipe it off immediately.
•  Compressor oil absorbs more moisture than mineral oil. If moisture is mixed with the compressor oil, the cooling performance may be lowered or the efrigeration cycle parts may be damaged. Immediately after removing the refrigeration cycle parts, cap the opening to prevent moisture. Also, immediately attach the cap to the compressor oil container after use.

•  If the refrigerant gas is completely discharged from the system for reasons such as a collision during A/C operation, correct or replace the malfunctioning location, charge the refrigerant to the specified amount, and always add 60 ml {60 cc, 2.0 US fl oz} of compressor oil.

Fluorescent Agent Handling

•  Do not add fluorescent agent into the refrigeration cycle. Otherwise, electrical insulation of the air conditioner system may deteriorate and high voltage electrical leakage may occur.
