BLOWER SYSTEM

id071100700200

Outline

•  The blower system takes in air from inside or outside of the vehicle, and sends it to the A/C unit passing through the air filter.

Function

•  The blower system sends air to the A/C unit by the blower motor.
•  The air intake of the blower system is either FRESH or RECIRCULATE depending on the position of the air intake doors.

Operation

1.  The body control module (BCM) turns the blower relay on (1) when the main power is switched ON (READY off or on).

2.  When the blower relay turns on, the blower motor goes on operation standby (2).

3.  When the heat pump control unit receives the blower relay on signal (3), it performs the airflow volume control (4) and sends a blower speed signal (5) to the blower motor.

4.  When the blower motor receives the blower speed signal, the motor rotates (6).

5.  The motor rotation speed is determined by the blower motor control circuit (7). The rotation speed is fast when the current value flowing from the control circuit is high, and it is slow when the current value is low.

6.  When the blower motor rotates, air is sent to the A/C unit. In addition, the air intake is either FRESH or RECIRCULATE depending on the position of the air intake doors.
