2WAY VALVE FOR REFRIGERANT [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]

id0740a1700200

Purpose

•  The 2way valve for refrigerant switches the flow passage of the refrigerant in the refrigerant cycle.

Function

•  The 2way valve for refrigerant switches the flow passage of the refrigerant so that the refrigerant flows towards the orifice when heating and towards the condenser when cooling.

Structure/construction

•  A normally open solenoid valve has been adopted.
―  Continuity off: Open
―  Continuity on: Close
•  The 2way valve for refrigerant consists of the following parts.
―  Coil
―  Plunger
―  Plunger spring
―  Main valve
―  Main valve spring

Operation

When heating

a30jjn00000413

1.  When the coil is turned on (energized), the plunger is pulled downward.

(Plunger spring load is less than solenoid coil attraction)

2.  The main valve is pushed downward and closes by the force of the plunger.

(Main valve spring load is less than plunger downward force)

3.  The refrigerant does not pass through the 2way valve for refrigerant and flows towards the orifice when the main valve is closed.

•  For the refrigerant flow when heating, refer to [HEATER SYSTEM]. (See HEATER SYSTEM.)

When cooling

aatjjn00003222

1.  When the coil is turned off (de-energized), the plunger moves upward by the force of the plunger spring.

(Plunger spring force is greater than solenoid coil attraction)

2.  The main valve is pushed upward and opens by the force of the main valve spring.

(Main valve spring is greater than plunger downward force)

3.  The refrigerant passes through the 2way valve for refrigerant and flows towards the condenser when the main valve is open.

•  For the refrigerant flow when cooling, refer to [REFRIGERANT SYSTEM]. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM.)
