Ambient temperature sensor
Purpose, function

• The ambient temperature sensor converts the detected air temperature to an electric signal.
Structure/construction

• A thermistor-type ambient temperature sensor has been adopted.
• The ambient temperature sensor is located on the shroud panel on the back side of the front bumper.
Operation

• The thermistor changes the resistance according to the surrounding temperature.
• The resistance decreases if the temperature increases, and increases if the temperature decreases.
Evaporator temperature sensor
Purpose, function

• The evaporator temperature sensor converts the detected evaporator fin temperature to an electric signal.
Structure/construction

• A thermistor-type evaporator temperature sensor has been adopted.
• A fin-thermo-type sensor has been adopted to the sensor area of the evaporator temperature sensor which inserts between the evaporator fins.
• The evaporator temperature sensor is located on the evaporator.

Passenger Compartment Temperature Sensor

• A thermistor-type temperature sensor of refrigerant line for evaporator outlet has been adopted.
• The temperature sensor of refrigerant line for evaporator outlet is located on the heat pump valve component No 1.

Purpose, function

• The temperature sensor of refrigerant line for condenser outlet is located next to the condenser (between condenser and 3way valve for refrigerant in refrigerant passage).
