•  The seat weight sensor control module determines the front passenger’s seat status as follows based on the signal from the seat weight sensor and the front passenger’s seat belt status.

•  The seat weight sensor control module sends the determined results to the SAS control module.

Construction

•  The seat weight sensor control module is located on the backside of the front passenger’s seat cushion.

Operation

1.  The seat weight sensor control module determines (2) the front passenger’s seat status based on the signals (1) from the seat weight sensor and the front passenger’s buckle switch.

2.  The seat weight sensor control module sends (3) the front passenger’s seat status signal to the SAS control module.
