• If the air bag module or pre-tensioner seat belt is discarded in the unactivated (undeployed) state, the air bag may unexpectedly activate (deploy) and cause injury. Be sure to dispose of the air bag module or pre-tensioner seat belt in the activated (deployed) state by referring to [Air bag module and pre-tensioner seat belt deployment procedures].
• The air bag module and pre-tensioner seat belt are very hot immediately after activation (deployment) and can cause burns if touched. Leave the actuator alone for approx. 15 min or more after activation (deployment) to let it cool down before handling.
• If an air bag module or pre-tensioner seat belt that has been activated (deployed) is exposed to water, chemical reactions may generate gases that are harmful to health. Do not splash water on an activated (deployed) air bag module or pre-tensioner seat belt.
• Activated (deployed) air bag modules or pre-tensioner seat belts may have chemicals that are harmful to health on their surface. Wear safety glasses and gloves when handling an activated (deployed) air bag module or pre-tensioner seat belt, and be sure to wash your hands after the work.
