STAY DAMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Warning

•  Removing the stay damper securing band without supporting the liftgate may cause the liftgate to fall off and injure you. Remove the stay damper securing band using two people, one person supports the liftgate.

1.  Insert the remover tool into the positions shown in the figure.

2.  Using the remover tool, remove the band in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

3.  Remove the stay damper from the bracket.

4.  Remove the bolts. (Only when removing the bracket)

5.  Remove the brackets. (Only when removing the bracket)

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
