Rear window defogger
• The rear window defogger filaments are located on the cabin side of the rear window glass.
Heated outer mirror
• The heated outer mirror filament is integrated in the outer mirror glass.
Windshield wiper de-icer
• The windshield wiper de-icer is located on the lower part of the windshield.
• The windshield wiper de-icer filaments are located between the outer glass and the intermediate film which compose the windshield.
Operation
1. When the rear window defogger switch is turned on with the main power switched ON (READY off or on), the climate control unit sends an operation request signal (1) to the body control module (BCM).
2. When the body control module (BCM) receives the operation request signal, it operates the rear window defogger and the windshield wiper de-icer.
3. When the door-electrical supply unit detects that the rear window defogger has operated, it operates the heated outer mirrors.
