Purpose/Function

• The power window regulator transmits the power window motor force to open/close the door glass.

Construction

• The power window regulator consists of the following parts:

― Drum

― Regulator guide

― Carrier plate

― Inner wire

• The inner wire is assembled to the inner side of the regulator guide and wrapped to the drum.

• The carrier plate is fixed with the inner wire tucked into the regulator guide.

Operation

1. When the drum of the power window regulator receives the rotation force from the power window motor, it rotates in the same rotation direction as the power window motor.

2. When the drum rotates, the inner wire is pulled in the direction the drum rotates.

3. The carrier plate moves up and down according to the rotational direction of the inner wire.
