POWER SWITCH INSPECTION

Continuity Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the power switch. (See POWER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the continuity between the power switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the power switch. (See POWER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

LED Illumination Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the power switch. (See POWER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Apply lead-acid battery positive voltage and connect the ground to the power switch terminals and verify that the LED illuminates as indicated in the table.

•  If the LED does not illuminate as indicated in the table, replace the power switch. (See POWER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
