POWER SWITCH

Purpose
• By pressing the switch ON/OFF, the power switch notifies the body control module (BCM) of the user power supply switching operation.
Function
Power switch indicator light

• If the power switch indicator light detects the engine switch condition, a malfunction, it indicates the driver by turning on/flashing the light.
POWER indicator light
-
• The power switch turns on the characters to improve visibility of the button.
Structure/Construction
• The power switch is installed in the center lower panel.
• Two types of switches are integrated in the power switch.
• The power switch has the following integrated indicators.

• The power switch has an integrated coil antenna for the immobilizer system. (See
COIL ANTENNA.)
Operation
• When the power switch is pressed, switches 1 and 2 turn on (contact point: closed), and when released, it turns off (contact point: open).

Green illumination

• Turns on if the conditions necessary for switching the main power ON (READY on) are met.

Green flashing
-
• Flashes when there is no remote transmitter inside the vehicle.
• Flashes when the steering lock cannot be released. (with steering lock unit)

Amber illumination
-
• Turns on when the main power is switched ON (READY off) or to ACC.

Amber flashing
-
• Flashes when a malfunction is detected.
POWER indicator light

• POWER indicator light turns on in the following cases.

― Door is open/closed
― Headlights are turned on
― Power switch is operated
― Brake pedal is depressed with main power switched ON (READY off)
― Main power is switched
