REAR DOOR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the positions shown in the figure.

• If work using protective tape is performed in an area where the temperature can increase drastically or the protective tape is left applied for a long period of time, tape adhesive could remain on the protective tape attachment part when the protective tape is peeled off. When applying protective tape, avoid areas where the temperature of the tape can increase drastically and peel off the protective tape soon after the work is completed.
2. Using the remover tool, detach tabs A and B from the rear door lower trim.
3. Remove the inner handle cap.
4. Using the remover tool, detach the hooks from the rear door trim one by one from the bottom of the grip cover.
5. Remove the grip cover.
6. Detach the clip and hooks from the rear door lower trim and rear door lower trim cover.
7. Remove the rear door lower trim cover.
8. Remove the screws.
9. Detach the clips from the rear door lower trim and inner handle cover.
10. Partially peel back the weatherstrip.
11. Move the inner handle cover in the direction of the arrow and remove it while avoiding the rear door inner handle.
12. Hold each shaded area shown in the figure, pull the rear door upper trim in the order of arrows (1) to (4), and then remove it while detaching the clips and pin.
13. Move the rear door upper trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, taking care not to open the lower edge of the rear door upper trim too much, and remove the clips from the rear door upper trim.
14. While pressing the clip tabs in the directions of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the clip in the direction of arrow (2), and then detach the clip from the rear door.
15. Attach the removed clip to the rear door lower trim.
16. Install in the reverse order of removal.
