Purpose

• The cargo compartment light illuminates the cargo compartment interior when the liftgate is opened.

Function

• The cargo compartment light illuminates when the electrical supply unit (ESU) detects the liftgate latch switch on signal.

Structure/Construction

• The cargo compartment light is installed to the trunk side upper trim (LH).

Operation

1. When the liftgate is opened, the electrical supply unit (ESU) detects (1) a liftgate latch switch on signal.

2. When the electrical supply unit (ESU) detects (1) the liftgate latch switch on signal, it turns the cargo compartment light on (2).
