Note

•  The M-MDS is necessary to perform forced ignition ON. When servicing the vehicle at a location other than an Authorized Mazda Dealer, consult the nearest Authorized Mazda Dealer for instructions.

•  The forced ignition ON forcibly supplies power to each part when the main power is not switched ON even if the power switch is operated. However, the following cannot be implemented.

―  Switch the main power ON (READY on).

―  Steering lock is released.

•  When performing forced ignition ON, remove all remote transmitters from the vehicle cabin. If there is a remote transmitter in the vehicle cabin, forced ignition ON cannot be performed.

1.  Verify that there are no remote transmitters in the vehicle.

2.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

3.  Activate the M-MDS and perform the following procedure.

(1)  Press [Start] to start the vehicle identification.

(2)  Press the [Toolbox] tab.

(3)  Press the [Work Support] icon.

(4)  Press [POWER SYSTEMS].

(5)  Press [Run] for [Compulsory Ignition ON].

4.  Switch the main power ON according to the directions on the M-MDS screen.
