Purpose
• The high voltage battery temperature gauge notifies the driver of the high voltage battery temperature.
Functions
• The instrument cluster displays the high voltage battery temperature based on the high voltage battery temperature signal sent from the BCM via CAN communication.
Structure/Construction
• An analog needle display high voltage battery temperature gauge with a stepping motor mechanism has been adopted.
• The blue range of the gauge indicates that the high voltage battery temperature is low and the red range indicates that it is high and overheating.
Operation
1. When the instrument cluster receives (1) a high voltage battery temperature signal from the BCM via CAN communication with the main power ON (READY on or off), it displays (2) the current high voltage battery temperature.
