Purpose
• The panel light adjusts the brightness of illumination lights such as the instrument cluster and steering switch illumination.
Functions
• The instrument cluster adjusts the brightness of the following illumination lights according to the panel light control switch signal.

Structure/Construction
• The panel light control switch is positioned in the instrument cluster.
Operation
1. When the instrument cluster detects (1) the panel light control switch signal with the main power ON (READY on or off), it changes (2) the brightness of the panel light.
2. When the instrument cluster receives (3) the TNS (parking lights) signal, it dims (4) the panel light. However, it does not dim the panel light if the auto-light sensor detects (5) that the area around the vehicle is bright.
3. When the instrument cluster detects (6) the brightest condition of the panel light control switch signal, it cancels (7) the dimming. (Dimmer cancel)
