Purpose
• The ambient temperature display notifies the driver of the ambient temperature.
Functions
Celsius display
• The instrument cluster displays the ambient temperature based on the ambient temperature signal sent from the PCM via CAN communication.
• The ambient temperature is displayed within -40—70°C. -40°C is displayed if the ambient temperature is -40°C or less, 70°C is displayed if 70°C or more.
Fahrenheit display
• The instrument cluster displays the ambient temperature based on the ambient temperature signal sent from the PCM via CAN communication.
• The ambient temperature is displayed within -40—160°F. -40°F is displayed if the ambient temperature is -40°F or less, 160°F is displayed if 160°F or more.
Structure/Construction
• The ambient temperature is displayed on the multi-information display of the instrument cluster.
Operation
1. When the instrument cluster receives (1) an ambient temperature signal from the PCM while the main power is switched ON (READY off or on), it displays (2) the ambient temperature in the multi-information display.
