CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Measure the resistance between cruise control switch terminals 3E, 3F and 3G under the following condetions :

•  If not within the specification, replace the cruise control switch. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Apply battery positive voltage to cruise control switch terminal 3N and connect terminal 3B to ground.

5.  Verify that the LED illuminatates.

•  If the LED does not illuminate, replace the cruise control switch. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
