CAN communication: communication error to electric power steering (EPS) control module

Detection condition

•  Communication error between the PCM and electric power steering (EPS) control module continues for 5 s or more.

Fail-safe

•  Refer to "DTC Table" and "Fail-safe Function Malfunction Contents Table". (See DTC TABLE [PCM (e-SKYACTIV)].)

Possible cause

•  CAN communication line malfunction between PCM and electric power steering (EPS) control module

•  Electric power steering (EPS) control module malfunction

•  PCM malfunction
