Outline

•  When charging the high voltage battery, the door lock status does not allow the user to easily check the charge status. The PCM makes it easy for the user to check the charging status by displaying the charging status using the charge port lid indicator through the charge port-electrical supply unit during charging.
•  The charge port-electrical supply unit notifies the user of the following conditions during charging.
―  Connection status of charging cable
―  Progress of high voltage battery charging (charging completed, charging)
―  High voltage battery charging disabled condition

Operation

•  The PCM determines the state of charge based on the condition of the high voltage battery from the BECM, the shift position, and the connection status of the normal charging cable from the battery charge control module. The PCM sends a charging port lid indicator display request signal to the charge port-electrical supply unit via CAN communication according to the determined state of charge.
•  The charge port-electrical supply unit turns on/flashes/turns off the charging port lid indicator based on the lighting request signal received from PCM as follows.
