•  The PCM turns the charge port illumination on/off through the charge port-electrical supply unit according to the open/closed status of the charge port lid. As a result, the visibility of the charging port when charging in dark places, such as at night, is improved.

•  The charge port-electrical supply unit determines the charging port lid open/closed status based on the signal of the charging port lid open/closed detection sensor and it sends the charging port lid open/closed status to the PCM via CAN communication.

•  The PCM determines charge port illumination on/off based on the following signals received via CAN communication, and sends a charge port illumination on request signal to the charge port-electrical supply unit via CAN communication.

•  The charge port-electrical supply unit turns on/turns off the charging port lid indicator based on the charging port illumination request received from the PCM.

•  If there is a malfunction in the charging port illumination circuit, the charge port-electrical supply unit sends a charging port illumination malfunction signal to the PCM. When the PCM receives the charging port illumination malfunction signal, it inhibits the transmission of the charging port illumination request signal.
