PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR
id052100700200
Outline
• The parking lock actuator performs shift position switching.
• Shift position switching is performed by driving the motor in the parking lock actuator based on the switching request signal sent by the PCM.
-
Caution
-
• When removing/installing or replacing the parking lock actuator, always perform the initial learning. Refer to the workshop manual for details.
Construction
Parking lock actuator
Shift position switching mechanism
Function
The parking lock actuator has the following functions.
Function
|
Outline
|
Shift position switching availability determination/command
|
Determines switching availability for the shift position switching command received from the PCM.
|
Shift position switching/hold
|
Performs shift position switching by the built-in motor to maintain that condition.
|
Shift position condition detect/output
|
The microcomputer in the parking lock actuator detects the current shift position condition and sends it to the PCM.
|
Operation
Shift position switching availability determination/command
-
• The microcomputer in the parking lock actuator detects whether or not there is a malfunction in the actuator and sends it to the PCM via CAN communication.
• If a malfunction is detected, the shift position switching command received from the PCM is canceled.
Shift position switching control, hold control
-
• When the shift position switching command signal is received from the PCM, the parking lock actuator rotates the internal motor to rotate the manual shaft connected to the parking lock actuator.
• The manual plate integrated with the manual shaft rotates according to the manual shaft rotation. The shift position to be switched is determined by the rotation angle of the manual shaft at this time.
• The shift position after switching is maintained by the detent mechanism connected to the manual plate.
-
Note
-
Shift position condition detect/output
-
• The microcomputer in the parking lock actuator detects the operation angle of the manual shaft to determine the current shift position condition.
• The microcomputer in the parking lock actuator sends the determined shift position condition to the PCM and the TCM via CAN communication.
