Gap Adjustment

1. Verify that the gap between the hood and the body is within the standard clearance.

Standard clearance

a: 1.7—5.3 mm {0.07—0.20 in}

b: 2.7—4.2 mm {0.11—0.16 in}

• If the measured value is not within the standard clearance, adjust the clearance using the following procedure:

1. Loosen the hood hinge installation bolts, move the hood, and adjust the installation position.

2. Tighten the hood hinge installation bolts.

3. Verify that the gap between the hood and the front bumper is within the standard clearance.

Height Difference Adjustment

1. Verify that the differences in height of the hood and the body are within the standard clearance.

Standard clearance

a: -2.0—2.0 mm {-0.078—0.078 in}

b: -1.0—1.0 mm {-0.039—0.039 in}

• If the measured value is not within the standard clearance, adjust the clearance using the following procedure:

1. Turn the stop rubbers to adjust the differences in height of the hood.
