REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ADJUSTMENT

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Operate the rear wiper.

3.  Operate the rear wiper switch to the OFF position during rear wiper operation to stop the rear wiper motor mid-way.

4.  Verify that the rear wiper is stopped by the auto-stop function so that the tip of the rear wiper blade is in the range of the adjustment position shown in the figure.

•  If the tip of the rear wiper blade is not in the range of the adjustment position, go to the next step.

5.  Remove the rear wiper arm. (See REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  While adjusting the rear wiper arm and the serration connecting part by one groove at a time so that the tip of the rear wiper blade is in the range of the adjustment position, attach the rear wiper arm and blade to the serration connecting part.

7.  Temporarily tighten the nuts and verify that the tip of the rear wiper blade is within the range of the adjustment position.

•  If the tip of the rear wiper blade is not in the range of the adjustment position, repeat from Step 5.

8.  Completely tighten the nut.
