Purpose

• The engine coolant temperature gauge notifies the driver of the engine coolant temperature.

Functions

• The instrument cluster displays the engine coolant temperature based on the engine coolant temperature signal sent from the PCM via CAN communication.

Operation

1. When the instrument cluster receives (1) an engine coolant temperature signal via CAN communication from the PCM while the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on), it displays (2) the engine coolant temperature gauge.
