Purpose
• The high beam control (HBC) switch can be used by the driver to optionally switch the high beam control (HBC) between operational/non-operational.
Function
• The high beam control (HBC) switch sends a switch operation signal to the instrument cluster.
Construction
• The high beam control (HBC) switch is built into the light switch.
Operation
• When the high beam control (HBC) switch is operated (1), the light switch outputs (2) the HBC switch operation voltage to the instrument cluster.
• When the instrument cluster inputs the HBC switch operation voltage, it sends (3) an HBC switch operation signal to the body control module (BCM) via CAN communication.
• When the BCM receives the HBC switch operation signal from the instrument cluster, it switches the HBC system on/off.
