POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Headlight auto leveling function related electrical part the malfunction
- Front and/or rear auto leveling sensor related part the malfunction
• Front and/or rear auto leveling control module power supply voltage excessive low
• Front and/or rear auto leveling sensor signal voltage excessive high or low
• Front and/or rear auto leveling sensor the malfunction
- Auto leveling control module the malfunction
- Auto leveling control module power supply voltage is excessive high
• Vehicle speed signal is above 180 km/h {mph} or more
- Instrument cluster the malfunction
- Short to power supply circuit between instrument cluster terminal 2O and auto leveling control module terminal W
• Auto leveling warning light control circuit the malfunction
- Instrument cluster the malfunction
- Short to GND between instrument cluster terminal 2J and auto leveling control module terminal U

VERIFY THAT THE FRONT AND REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSER INSTALLATION
• Verify that the front and rear auto leveling sensor installation.
• Is there any bend, damage or dislocated link at the bracket?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE
• Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
• Measure the voltage between auto leveling control module terminal A and GND.
• Is the voltage B+?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace for open circuit between the ignition switch and auto leveling control module terminal A.

INSPECT AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE GND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
• Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
• Disconnect the auto leveling control module connector.
• Verify that continuity between auto leveling control module terminal X and GND.
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Connector the auto leveling control module connector, then go to Step 5.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT GND POINT
• Verify that the GND point for auto leveling control module.
• Is there loose or poor connection at GND point?
Yes
Retighten the GND point.
No
Repair or replace for open circuit between auto leveling control module terminal X and GND.

INSPECT IF THE MALFUNCTION IS IN AUTO LEVELING SENSOR OR ELSEWHERE
• Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
• Turn the headlight to ON.
• Measure the voltage between auto leveling control module terminal K and GND.
• Is the voltage 0.25-4.75 V?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 9.

INSPECT IF THE MALFUNCTION IS IN REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR OR ELSEWHERE
• Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
• Turn the headlight to ON.
• Measure the voltage between auto leveling control module terminal I and GND.
• Is the voltage 0.25-4.75 V?
Yes
Go to Step 11.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT THE REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
• Inspect the wiring harness between auto leveling control module terminal I and rear auto leveling sensor terminal B.
• Is there open or short circuit detected?
Yes
Repair or replace for open short circuit.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT REAR AUTO LEVELING SENSOR
• Inspect the rear auto leveling sensor.
• Is the rear auto leveling sensor normal?
Yes
Repair or replace for open circuit at following.
• Between auto leveling control module terminal B and rear auto leveling sensor terminal A.
• Between auto leveling control module terminal P and rear auto leveling sensor terminal C.
No
Replace the rear leveling sensor.

INSPECT IF THE MALFUNCTION IS IN AUTO LEVELING SENSOR POWER OR GND CIRCUIT OR ELSEWHERE
• Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
• Turn the headlight to ON.
• Measure the voltage between auto leveling control module terminal I and GND.
• Is the voltage 0.25-4.75 V?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace for open circuit at following.
• Between auto leveling control module terminal B and front auto leveling sensor terminal A.
• Between auto leveling control module terminal B and rear auto leveling sensor terminal A.
• Between auto leveling control module terminal P and front auto leveling sensor terminal C.
• Between auto leveling control module terminal P and rear auto leveling sensor terminal C.

INSPECT FRONT AUTO LEVELING SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
• Inspect the wiring harness between auto leveling control module terminal K and front auto leveling control module terminal B.
• Is there open or short circuit detected?
Yes
Repair or replace for open or short circuit.
No
Inspect the front auto leveling sensor.

INSPECT IF THE MALFUNCTION IS IN AUTO LEVELING WARNING LIGHT CONTROL CIRCUIT OR ELSEWHERE
• Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
• Disconnect the auto leveling control module and instrument cluster connectors.
• Verify that continuity between auto leveling control module terminal U and GND.
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Repair or replace for short to GND circuit.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT IF THE MALFUNCTION IS IN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
• Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
• Connect the instrument cluster connector (with auto leveling control module connector disconnected).
• Short to GND at auto leveling control module terminal I using the jumper wire.
• Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
• Dose the auto leveling warning light illuminate?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the instrument cluster.

INSPECT IF THE MALFUNCTION IS IN VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL CIRCUIT OR ELSEWHERE
• Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
• Disconnect the auto leveling control module connector.
• Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
• Measure the voltage between auto leveling control module terminal W and GND.
• Is the voltage B+?
Yes
Repair or replace for short to power supply.
No
Replace the auto leveling control module.
