DESCRIPTION	Active bonnet sensor (left) internal malfunction
DETECTION CONDITION	Warning •  Detection conditions are for understanding the DTC outline before performing an inspection. Performing an inspection according to only the detection conditions may cause injury due to an operating error, or damage the system. When performing an inspection, always follow the diagnostic procedure. •  Active bonnet sensor (left) internal malfunction
POSSIBLE CAUSE	•  Active bonnet sensor (left) malfunction •  Active bonnet control module malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR ACTIVE BONNET CONTROL MODULE Warning •  Handling the component parts improperly can accidentally operate the active bonnet actuator, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings and cautions before handling the component parts of the active bonnet. (See ACTIVE BONNET SERVICE WARNINGS.) (See ACTIVE BONNET SERVICE CAUTIONS.) •  Clear the DTC for the active bonnet control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ACTIVE BONNET].) •  Perform the active bonnet control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ACTIVE BONNET].) •  Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the active bonnet sensor (left), then go to the next step. (See ACTIVE BONNET SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
2	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR ACTIVE BONNET CONTROL MODULE •  Clear the DTC for the active bonnet control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ACTIVE BONNET].) •  Perform the active bonnet control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ACTIVE BONNET].) •  Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the active bonnet control module. (See ACTIVE BONNET CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
