ABS control
|
DETECTION CONDITION
|
• ABS control continuing for 60 s or more is detected.
• Decreased pressure or hold condition continues for 1.28 s on all wheels
|
|
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
|
• Refer to “Fail-safe function table”. (See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM].)
|
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Friction coefficient between road surface and tires is significantly low such as when driving on slippery road surfaces.
• There is significant wear on individual tires.
• Tires with differing diameters have been installed.
• DSC HU/CM internal malfunction

INSPECT TIRE CONDITION
• Is there significant wear on individual tires?
|
Yes
|
Replace worn tires with ones having no wear, then go to Step 3.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT TIRE SIZE
• Have tires with differing diameters been installed?
|
Yes
|
Replace the tires with the specified tire, then go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY DSC HU/CM DTC
• Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the DSC HU/CM.
(See CLEARING DTC [DSC HU/CM].)
• Drive the vehicle at the legal speed limit. (Drive the vehicle with all four tires gripping the road.)
• Using the M-MDS, perform the DSC HU/CM DTC inspection.
(See DTC INSPECTION [DSC HU/CM].)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes
|
Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to Step 5.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

|
VERIFY CONDITIONS WHEN MALFUNCTION OCCURRED
• Verify the conditions when the malfunction occurred (driving conditions or road conditions) with the customer.
|
Go to the next step.

5
|
VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT
• Are any DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM].)
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
