DTC
C0082:68
ABS control
DETECTION CONDITION
•  ABS control continuing for 60 s or more is detected.
Note
•  The DTC may occur if the vehicle is driven under the following conditions.
―  ABS operates continuously over long distances and long periods when braking on slippery road surfaces
―  Wheel speed differences occur due to differences in tire tread wear or tire diameter
•  Decreased pressure or hold condition continues for 1.28 s on all wheels
Note
•  The DTC may occur if the vehicle is driven under the following conditions.
―  Decreased pressure/hold condition continues due to vehicle spin
―  Decreased pressure/hold condition continues because friction coefficient between road surface and tires is significantly low and there is no grip force recovery even with ABS control
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
•  Refer to “Fail-safe function table”. (See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM].)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Friction coefficient between road surface and tires is significantly low such as when driving on slippery road surfaces.
•  There is significant wear on individual tires.
•  Tires with differing diameters have been installed.
•  DSC HU/CM internal malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step

Inspection

Action

1
INSPECT TIRE CONDITION
•  Is there significant wear on individual tires?
Yes
Replace worn tires with ones having no wear, then go to Step 3.
No
Go to the next step.
2
INSPECT TIRE SIZE
•  Have tires with differing diameters been installed?
Yes
Replace the tires with the specified tire, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
3
VERIFY DSC HU/CM DTC
•  Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the DSC HU/CM.
•  Drive the vehicle at the legal speed limit. (Drive the vehicle with all four tires gripping the road.)
•  Using the M-MDS, perform the DSC HU/CM DTC inspection.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to Step 5.
No
Go to the next step.
4
VERIFY CONDITIONS WHEN MALFUNCTION OCCURRED
•  Verify the conditions when the malfunction occurred (driving conditions or road conditions) with the customer.
Go to the next step.
5
VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
