Purpose, Function

• Turns on/off in conjunction with the latch lever rotation so that the trunk lid open/closed condition is output to the BCM.

Construction

• Switch turns on and off by the rotation of the latch bar.

Operation

Trunk lid close (latch) operation

1. When the trunk lid is closed, the trunk lid lock striker enters the latch lever groove.

2. When the trunk lid is further closed after the latch lever groove enters the trunk lid lock striker, the latch lever is pressed by the trunk lid lock striker and it rotates.

3. When the trunk lid is fully closed, the latch lever is in a latched condition, and the trunk lid latch switch turns off according to the operation of the latch lever.

Trunk lid open (unlatch) operation

• When the trunk lid release actuator operates to open the trunk lid, the latch lever is in an unlatched condition, and the trunk lid latch switch turns on according to the operation of the latch lever.
